Young team

Just heard on XM radio they said Clemson has 42 freshman or redshirt freshman on their team. Wasn't sure what Tennessee has, but thought it would be an interesting comparison since they are in the ACC championship game. And yes I know the ACC isn't as good and we had injuries and all that but you can be successful with young teams. That being said I'm excited about the future at UT!

I'd imagine we would have a LOT less because we don't have the luxury of red-shirting our freshman. That's a deceiving state. It makes you think their team is young. In reality, it means they have enough depth not to use most of their incoming freshman.

and they didnt play bama lsu ark or ga.. which, considering the caliber of teams they've been losing to lately, would give them four additional losses and they wouldn't be going to a bowl game either.. our common opponent South Carolina... was played much more closely by tn than clemson

That's from te beginning of the season anyway I think.

And no I wasn't taking a thinly veiled jab at TN because it can't be a direct comparison since Clemson is ACC. I was just pointing out that other teams has success with young teams. TN has gone though a lot more than Clemson IMO so it is a much more difficult road especially in the SEC. IDK how many are on UT's two deep but I would imagine more.
