Not necessarily discontinued, just incredibly difficult to find:

Fritos BBQ chips. Not the twisted ones. Been exceptionally hard to fine for almost a decade.
Dunkaroos, finally found some after more than a decade.

They went away in 2012 and came back in 2020.

This may not register with anybody (all you posting junk food), but essential to southern living was three rivers cornmeal. It was entirely superior, and by following the recipe on the bag you could make world class corn bread. For some reason which I can't understand, there were people that didn't make world class cornbread, but that was a little hard to understand how they did that. This product was made, coincidentally, in Knoxville, TN. The fact that people didn't use it, or didn't follow the recipe on the bag, just shows, I think, that some people hate being great.

Three Rivers/White Lily was bought out by J.M. Smuckers and the corn meal was discontinued in 2009. It was the best. Sometimes the best doesn't win. There was outcry. The outcry continued for a decade, no joke.

Now they say it's back. "Hometown Food Company" bought White Lily uin 2018 and found out that people were still mad about Three Rivers being discontinued. They started making it again in 2020. I didn't know that, so I certainly wasn't throwing them any business. I'll make a pone and report back whether it's the same stuff.

Here's a great quote from an online article:

When they stopped making Three Rivers Cornmeal Mix in 2009, my crown lost its jewels. I tried White Lily. I tried Martha White. I tried fancy-ass stone-ground cornmeal mixed with flour and baking soda. Nothing worked.

I persevered, of course. It’s not like I stopped making cornbread. I just stopped making my granny’s cornbread. I stopped making good cornbread.

I didn't write that, but I certainly agree with absolutely everything stated in this article.
Shall We Gather at Three Rivers? — THE BITTER SOUTHERNER

So here is the result.

Not sure I'd want to eat stuff grown in that area. Grew up hearing too many stories about barrels from Oak Ridge being spilled all over the countryside.

I didn't know they had ever quit making it, but you can get it at ingles here in Georgia. I grew up with my grandmother's using it, and my mom, and have a bag in the fridge right now.

Snickers Cruncher, Tostitos cantina chipotle salsa, Munchies crunchy coated nuts, and make the green Skittles lime again.
