Your Memphis Grizzlies Basketball Thread III

Id like to know why the NBA didn't notify the Grizzlies that they were reviewing the play which is protocol. The Griz didn't find out until right before the game. That's shady if you ask me.

I'm with 95. It's complete horsesht. I'm watching with the same enthusiasm and belief. It's still a 48 minute basketball game. Conley hasn't approached 100% in a while. Hopefully it can loosen up enough for him to give it a go. Ed and Leuer will be fine. Marc is going to have to look to score. Courtney will have to make open shots. Mike Millz gotta keep doing Mike Millz things.

Just a small town girl living in a lonely world. She took the midnight train going anywhere...

You're right. Anything can happen. Just a gut punch though.

I'm gonna have to record tonight's game. I think I'm gonna go down and watch Buddy Guy at BSMF. When he's in town, people really should go. One of the best performers I've ever seen.

Gonna be tough to not hear the result down there. At least the weather is fantastic for once.

Scott Holt band used to play here in Nash and we always tried to see him. Dude can flat out play. His version of Voodoo Chile is sick.

I'll be looking for him and post an update later. I LOVE watching good guitar players. When Buddy leaves the stage w/ his bodyguards and plays a long solo as he walks through the audience, it's my favorite part. I may stick around and watch Joan Jett and maybe catch Blind Mississippi Morris later. He's just a really nice guy that plays a mean harmonica. I've spoken with him a couple of times and he's a quality dude.

oops, NVM. Blind Mississippi Morris plays in the 3 o'clock hour. I'll probably be in w. memphis making my Derby wager then. Oh well..

Who makes the best and strongest lit and margarita in Memphis?

Today, the best bet would be Ginger at the Sports Pub on Mendenhall/Park. Tell her you know Russ ad Lisa and I guarantee you it will be a good one, whatever you get. She's on day shift til 7. I may swing by there for a quick one before heading to w. memphis.

Just a city boy born and raised in south Detroit. He took the midnight train goin anywhere.

A singer in a smokey room. Smell of wine and cheap perfume. For a smile they can share the night it goes on and on and on and on

I've literally NEVER been one of those people that think the NBA or any other league fixes games to accommodate to their stars.

But the more I watch replays & think about game 6, I don't have any other explanation other than that. I'm not saying they "fixed" it for sure..but it's such a joke how we kept getting absolutely clobbered in our end & never got a foul. Yet they were in the bonus within 4 minutes of the 3rd (I think). They went 10+ minutes of quarters 1 & 3 without a getting a single foul called.

Oh well..just hope tonight's a decent game..don't really have the highest expectations.

For those of you in the Mtown this weekend and head down to Memphis In May here is little info to make your trip a little easier.. Enjoy and have fun!

2014 Memphis in May News for Memphis, TN from GoMemphis.com

Love the avvy, Robbins. I might add, if you take your kid to music fest, make SURE you agree on a meeting place they can FIND, in case you get separated. As we were on our way to find a place to watch Collective Soul, our whole reason for coming, that little sucker just vanished before my eyes amongst about 40 thousand of our closest friends. I can tell you there is nothing more terrifying than not knowing where your 12 year old kid is for hours in that situation whilst you steadfastly stay at appointed meeting place. We ended up getting reunited hours later and actually got to enjoy Johnny Lange and Los Lonely Boys, both of which feature extremely good guitar players. The one for LLB was a pleasant surprise.

My problem with this is, if KD and LJ are so much better than anyone else in the league, how come they can't play and be accountable for the same rule book? 'Cause they don't.
