You're seeing why Hart didn't make the move last week

Hamilton was blamed for the timing and then the embarrassing loss vs Wyoming. Hart was not going to be blamed for the ineptitude of a coach. Instead, he let him show it one more time.

I think the opposite. If Hart had made the move last week, maybe this team would have played for something tonight. It might have been our best shot at a bowl.

... and one more time, I fear, next week. First time in program history with 8 losses.

This is exactly what I've been saying as well. Dooley has lost this team. Replacing him with an interem coach would have been our best chance to rally for a bowl game

I just see it as another week lost in recruiting. Every day Dooley stands in as coach, we fall further behind.

At least we won't have to wait anymore for the announcement. He should have made it Monday.

If, as has been speculated, Hart had a hand in bringing Sal Sunseri here, then he should be packing his bags along with Dooley.

What a freaking disaster this program is.

Completely different scenario. Hamilton fired a National Championship coach the palyers loved that was 1 year removed from an SEC East Championship in 2007. Dooley is a loser that most the players can't stand that has never won anythin in his career . Should have been fired 2 weeks ago. Team would have rallied.

You don't think Hart has the upperhand now with Cheek, the boosters, etc...? Do not underestimate him on this. He can come to the negotiation table and pretty much get the price he wants with the fan reaction, the potential loss of revenue with a cheap hire, etc... If you fire him three weeks ago, rock bottom would've not been hit. You don't think there's a sense of urgency and a fear of devastating losses in revenue after being blown out by Vanderbilt?
