If y’all don’t mind, thought I’d start a thread rather than ask in main thread, and it is “recruiting” related.
Any one have info or advice on spring/summer, or even winter football camps?
My son is a freshman and wants to hit as many camps as possible.
I do believe he will have a chance to make it the collegiate level at some capacity, whether it be d2 or G5 school.
He had a decent freshman year playing Varsity, and as of now, wants to go as far as possible.
Just thought I’d ask here bc having some trouble finding info and schedules online. Seems everything is a paid subscription for stuff?!
Any incite is appreciated!

Check the universities websites. They usually put out info regarding camps.
This was last years Tennessee camp.

Not sure if you have already done this but even though your son is a freshman, I'd start off by checking with his varsity head football coach. I believe that there are quite a few regional high school combines and camps that provide exposure to HS athletes. I used to be an assistant coach and we had all kinds of information that would come in on where to send kids, but I've been out of it for so long. Best wishes.

Thanks for replying! We have and he does get some. Not too many held here in WV. He use to coach in Va as well, and does get things for that region as well. He mentioned Va tech, unc, and other smaller schools.
We would like to find some 2-3 day camps where he can get coached up at this point, and then concentrate on the exposure side his jr/sr year.

First hope for covid to be resolved. By the time this is over with, I'm afraid they are gonna have a variant for every greek letter.

Note to China: yall need to stick with what you do well. No more viral testing. You suck at it.

I coach a high school sport, soccer, and usually I’ll get emails from colleges and universities about camps. Another thing you can do, not sure if WV does this, but in TN the TSSAA has a forum for summer camps. I’d check with WV’s high school athletic governing body to see if they have something similar. Finally, if all that doesn’t work, someone else mentioned it above, but I’d look at universities he’s interested in going to and/or close by to see when their summer camps are. If just about every university with a soccer program holds a camp, I’d be shocked if they didn’t hold a football one.
