So I was on YouTube earlier this morning and I noticed a banner/announcement at the top of the screen talking about the 8.9 earthquake in Japan. So I click on the link and it takes me straight to the Al Jazeera (English) YouTube channel.

Do YouTube and Al Jazerra have a news partnership or something? And why would Al Jazeera be more qualified to cover Japan than any other news site?

Probably private footage sent to them. Don't you know Muslims are constantly filming bridges/tunnels/airports, etc. across the globe for future reference?

That's bad.....but I found it quite clever and got a chuckle out of it.

Al Jazeera's news coverage is much better in world terms than American news channels.

They have their inherent biases like every other outlet, but at least every other story isn't about Charlie Sheen or Lindsey Lohan.
