i hate vandy but even when i sit back and try to be objective about it i just dont see it. they got a tough slate. everybody is quick to point out what we lost but i dont see much written about losing rodgers and their best RB in school history along with some other guys. anything could happen on any given saturday though.

A game can be a fluke, but a whole season is usually not. Vandy had a historically light schedule last year, and that doesn't look to be the case this year. Franklin has done the right things for Vanderbilt (including making me want to puke when I see his stupid face), but there's just no way that Vandy makes it through the East and then wins the SECCG. That would be an insane step forward, and teams just don't do that... especially when they have an ingrained history of losing.

I see Vandy at 6 wins this year. Best I see them going is 8-4, with them losing to South Carolina, A&M, Georgia and Florida. But, I see them losing to Ole Miss and Tennessee also, for a 6-6 finish.

They lose a close one to SC, which I'm sorry, Vandy has lost close games to better teams forever. Then they beat a 4-6 UT team and a 6-6 NC State team and suddenly they are hot stuff.

I get it's Vandy but I still don't get why everyone is so ga-ga over them. They still haven't beaten a team they shouldn't have.

I'm glad people are still buying into the Vandy hype. It will just be that much funnier when they come crashing down.

Good teams are supposed to beat bad teams, plain and simple.

Franklin has done an outstanding job at Vandy. I don't think they are a BCS sleeper, SEC is too tough of a league, but Vandy should have a decent year again which will only make Franklin look that much better.

Define decent.

They have 4 built in wins, 2 should wins in Missouri and Wake, 2 toss ups in Ole Miss and Tennessee. They are gonna lose to Georgia, SC, A&M and Florida.

Vanderbilt is gonna break in some new players in key positions. I don't see it going smoothe.

They're not going to be a dominant team either. Also, if Texas A&M loses Johny football, you guys aren't going to be Mr. Hot shot this season either.

unless they've suddenly upgraded the Liberty/Music City Bowls to BCS status, good luck with that

also I feel like everyone has picked Georgia to be the "bust" team for three years running
