Athens There will be a new voice of Georgia football on the road this season.
Eric Zeier, a former record-setting Bulldogs quarterback, will join veteran broadcaster Scott Howard in the booth for road games this fall, the university announced Wednesday. Howard will handle play-by-play duties while Zeier will serve as color analyst.
Larry Munson, who has broadcast all Georgia games for the last four decades, decided earlier this summer that he could no longer broadcast road games due to his declining health. Munson will continue to call UGA home games.
"We are confident the team of Scott and Eric will provide fans with an outstanding picture of all the action in the Georgia's road games during the 2007 season," Georgia athletics director Damon Evans in a statement released by the university. "And we're looking forward to having Larry continuing his legendary calls of Georgia football for home games as long as he likes."
