Torrance Gibson: Vols lead for five-star quarterback

Class of 2015 Five-star dual-threat quarterback Torrance Gibson released his top 15 schools on Monday, and listed Tennessee as his leader. “Top 15 list pic.twitter.com/3t6vruiAhG,” he tweeted. His top 15 schools in order are: Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma, Miami, Florida, NC State, Oregon, UCF, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Michigan and Nebraska.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, Gibson told Rivals.com, “If I’m not mistaken the last time they had a dual threat quarterback they won the national championship. I can do a lot of different things and I feel like that’s what they are looking for in a quarterback.”

As a junior last season at American Heritage High in Plantation, Florida, Gibson threw for 1,864 yards and 19 touchdowns. He rushed for 1,032 yards and 10 touchdowns.
