As was posted yesterday, Donnie Tyndall — and three of his staff — met with Robert Hubbs and his family last night in Newbern, Tennessee. All we know for sure is: the meeting did take place, it lasted about an hour and a half and three assistants were present with Tyndall. At this point a decision one way or the other would seem to be in the best interest of both sides, so expect more updates in the next couple of days.
UPDATE: Hubbs’ mother told Rivals.com, “The visit went great. It was very special to us that the whole staff was here. We thought it would just be coach Tyndall and maybe one assistant. When they left, Robert looked at us and said he was still a Tennessee Vol.” Hubbs’ father said a final decision should come soon. “He is just going to take things one day at a time, but I think a decision will come fairly quick. I don’t want to put a timetable on it, but whatever he wants to do our family is going to support it.”
