The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former Vol defensive tackle Daniel McCullers, who they selected in the sixth-round of the NFL Draft. From ProFootballTalk, “McCullers is a very large man, standing 6-7 and weighing over 350 pounds, and that should make him a contender for an early-down role as a run stuffer on the Steelers front line. McCullers knows that he can’t just rely on size to get him on the field, though.”
“Show that I can run to the ball that I do have speed and that I will use it,” McCullers said. “Run to the ball. That’s what they’ve wanted me to do from the moment they brought me here.”
UPDATE: The financial terms have not been released, but the contract is a four-year agreement.
