The CBS Eye on College Football staff released their SEC Preview: Expert Predictions earlier this week and one analyst — Tom Fornelli — believes Butch Jones will be the coach of the year.
Coach of the year: Butch Jones, Tennessee</. Tennessee has a young team in 2014, but I think the Vols are going to surprise some people this year, and they’ll get back to a bowl game. With the rest of the conference basically going to plan, that should be enough to get Jones the honor.
Jones has a career record of 89-55, including 5-7 last season at Tennessee.
