Todd Helton, a former dual-sport athlete at Tennessee, had his jersey retired on Sunday by the Colorado Rockies after a 17-year career with the team.
“I’m proud to say that I am a Colorado Rockie for life,” Helton said.
During his career Helton played in 2,247 games and amassed 2,519 hits; 1,521 singles; 1,406 RBIs; 1,401 runs; 1,335 walks; 592 doubles and 369 home runs.
