Class of 2016 Tennessee wide receiver Dillon Mitchell was in Knoxville this past weekend for the Utah State game, and while he was in here, he picked up an offer from the Vols .
Mitchell is rated 4-stars in the 247sports overall composite ranking. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound receiver from Memphis is rated the No. 59 wide receiver and the No. 8 player in Tennessee for the class of 2016.
The Vols are now high on his list, Mitchell told 247sports.
“What he said to me was important and told me about their program and that they are a young team and that he’s going to have Tennessee back to where they used to be,” Mitchell told Rivals.com. “Then, he was walking out the door, and he said, ‘Oh yeah, you have an offer to the University of Tennessee.’
Apparently Mitchell has ties to former Vol Aaron Hayden.
