Confirming a rumor that surfaced on VolNation last night, Tennessee defensive end Joe Henderson is not currently with the Vols’ football team due to personal reasons.
Listed at 6-foot-4, 234 pounds, Henderson was rated 4-stars out of high school by Rivals.com and was considered the No. 14 weakside defensive end and the No. 15 player in the state of Ohio. He was expected to redhsirt this season.
As recent as this afternoon several media persons “confirmed” that the rumor was not true, however the university has since released a statement regarding Henderson stating: “He is away from the team right now for personal reasons.”
The issue is thought to be a flagged test score from before he arrived on campus.
