Harrison appeared in 21 games this season for Tennessee, averaging 12.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game before suffering a season-ending knee injury on February 15th against Kentucky. She finished her career with 1071 points and became the 16th Lady Vol selected in the first round.
Harrison wasn’t the only Lady Vol drafted, however.
Forward Cierra Burdick, who averaged 11 points and 7.6 rebounds last season, was drafted in the second round with the No. 14 pick overall by the Los Angeles Sparks.
In the third round with the No. 29 overall pick, the Atlanta Dream selected Ariel Massengale. The 5-foot-7 guard averaged 11.5 points per game and led the team in three-point shooting. For her career, Massengale finished with 1,161 points and 518 assists.
Coach Holly Warlick seemed pleased with the results.
“3 Lady Vols in the PROs! Not a bad day for TENNESSEE! I would said we CAN develop players!!!! : ),” Warlick tweeted.
