Josh Richardson signed his contract with the Miami Heat on Monday, and could earn more than $2.5 million over the next three years, according to ESPN.
Richardson was the 40th pick in this year’s NBA Draft and averaged 11.8 points per game in the Heat summer leagues.
According to the Sun Sentinel, the contract is fully guaranteed for the first season, and partially guaranteed thereafter. At roughly $840,000 per year, Richardson is making about what a player drafted at the end of the first round would earn.
