Tennessee hosted a satellite camp for linemen at University School in Jackson, Tennessee on Wednesday afternoon.
Lineman camps aren’t traditionally front page news, but this one has an agenda. Butch Jones has his recruiting sights locked on to offensive tackle Trey Smith, who just so happens to attend University School, and is rated the No. 1 player in Tennessee and the No. 1 offensive tackle in the nation, according to the 247 composite ranking.
Knoxville Catholic offensive lineman Cade Mays, who committed to the Vols last July, was also at the camp and he likes the idea of lining up next to Smith.
Great to work with the best coach in the country today @UTCoachMahoney !! Just imagine me and @smithtrey98 next to each other👊🏼

To top it off, a handful of former Vols were scheduled to be in attendance. Just a few guys you may have heard of: Trey Teague, Chad Clifton, Antone Davis, Ja’wuan James, Scott Wells, Kevin Mayes and Al Wilson.

Yep. Butch knows recruiting. Attempts to resist are futile.
