Tennessee target Maleik Gray, a four-star safety prospect from La Vergne, TN, was rocking a Power T bucket hat this week. Gray has high interest in Tennessee, Florida State and USC, according to Rivals.com.

Listed at 6-1 and 196 pounds, Rivals rates Gray as the No. 9 safety and the No. 104 player nationally.

I wonder if Butch/Shoop see him as a guy who moves down into the box in the future? At 200 he’s a big safety.
I’ve seen some projections of him as an outside linebacker at the next level.
Shoop’s call; one which should benefit both team and player. Knowing how Shoop’s defenses morph around different teams’ schemes, let’s figure players such as Mr. Gray would fit nicely in UT’s array of innovative/aggressive defensive sets. C’mon, Maleik. Be a big killer bee in the orange swarm and get in while the gettin’s good!
