Tennessee rallied from 21 points down to cut Gonzaga’s lead to four late in the second half, but was unable to close the deal as the Zags held on for an 86-76 win on Sunday night at Bridgestone Arena.
Detrick Mostella led the Vols with 17 points, 15 of which came in the second half. Grant Williams scored 11 points and Robert Hubbs III added 10.

Our basketball program is looking to be very good with a couple of key pieces. I think coach Barnes will prove to be a great hire! Same with football and basketball, if you are good enough to compete for division championships you will eventually get some!
I think Barnes has taken a lot of heat for his recruiting, and deservedly so. But the guys he’s brought it are playing a lot better than expected, in my opinion. I think this is going to be a fun year if these guys continue to develop.
He seems to know exactly what he is looking for, I believe that he will get it done. And by the way freak I really appreciate this website. I live in wv now and they just don’t talk about our beloved vols up here like they do back home.
