Tennessee offensive lineman Brett Kendrick underwent ankle surgery on Thursday morning to repair torn ligaments in his left ankle, according to Rhiannon Potkey.

Kendrick tore two ligaments in last year’s spring game and a third against Alabama in October.

A three to four month recovery time is expected.

As a redshirt junior, Kendrick started all 12 games for the Vols last season (seven at left tackle and five at right tackle).
