Rivals rates Young as the No. 19 weakside defensive end in the class of 2016 and the No. 43 player in the state of California. He has offers from Arizona State, California, Colorado State, Fresno State, Michigan, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA and Washington State.
ESPN SCOUTING REPORT
Young is a prospect who displays some ability to catch your eye. He is a lengthy kid who can run, but a little more limited / specialized at this point. Has tools that can still allow him to contribute an:d will certainly catch some recruiter’s attention, but needs to continue to develop to be a more well-rounded player. Scheme, need and physical development will play a role in how utilized as he could project a few ways in front seven. Defender that can make some plays, but shows some limitations as well and if he can better maximize ability and be a little more “Thor along with his Flash” could be a real good college defender.
