Point guard Darius Thompson and forward A.J. Davis have been granted their release from the Tennessee basketball team. ““I don’t think in either case, at least what they’re telling me, that these guys have made up their mind to not come back,” Tyndall said at the Big Orange Caravan in Atlanta on Monday. “The door has been left open. We certainly hope they’ll come back.”
Rumors swirled yesterday that guard Robert Hubbs III had also requested a release, but as of now he remains on the team and continues to weigh his options with his family.
