Tennessee lands 4-star cornerback Jaycee Horn

Tennessee picked up a huge commitment on Thursday night when class of 2018 4-star cornerback Jaycee Horn from Alpharetta, GA committed to the Vols.

He’s the son of Joe Horn, who played 12 years in the NFL, for three different teams, including the New Orleans Saints from 2000-2006.

Horn posted on Twitter, “First I want to start by thanking god for blessing me with the abilities to play this game and be in this position. I want to thank my family for the support and for believing in me when no one else believed in me. I want to thanks my coaches and teammates for always being there for me. My position coach for helping me develop my skills and believing in me from day 1. Lastly, I want to thank all of the schools that recruited me and gave me an opportunity to play at their university. It’s been a blessing to be recruited by all of these high class schools. After much thought and consideration, I’ve decided to verbally commit to.. The University of Tennessee! #Go Vols.”

Horn picked the Vols over South Carolina and Alabama, and becomes the Vols’ 23rd commit in the 2018 class.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Horn is rated 4-stars and is the No. 25 cornerback in the nation and the No. 24 player in the state of Georgia.

As has become the norm lately, Butch Jones chimed in. Sort of. As did some other coaches and Vol commits.

  1. I can assure our VN brothers and sisters that, although there are some pundits and semi-fans who think Coach Jones doesn’t hold a lot of respect from his players, in truth, his kids love him and show it by bringing in some of the best recruits out there. Congrats to both, coaches AND players, for convincing future Volunteer heroes that UT is the place to be. Jaycee Horn. Welcome to a very bright (orange) future!
