Freshman defensive end Joe Henderson lost his stripe on Wednesday, according to Steve Stripling.
Each player has to “earn their stripes” on Team 118, according to Butch Jones. The black stripe is placed on the helmet of every newcomer, and the players’ staff is charged with determining when it can be removed.
Henderson was rated a 4-star prospect out of high school in Cleveland, Ohio by Rivals.com.
Here is the complete list of Tennessee Volunteers who have had their black stripes removed so far.
