The Southeastern Conference released dates for each school’s 18 league games for the 2023-24 season Thursday.
The conference office previously announced each institution’s home and away opponents for this coming season in June. Times and television information for the 2023-24 regular-season SEC schedule will be released at a later date.
Tennessee’s 18-game SEC slate begins with a home bout with Ole Miss on Saturday, Jan. 6, its first league action in the newly rebranded Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center and UT’s second consecutive year facing the Rebels in its SEC opener.
A pair of road contests at Mississippi State (Wednesday, Jan. 10) and at Georgia (Saturday, Jan. 13) are followed by home contests versus Florida (Tuesday, Jan. 16) and Alabama (Saturday, Jan. 20) in Knoxville.
UT has a week off before heading to the state capital on Saturday, Jan. 27 to face Vanderbilt.
Other notable home conference showdowns include matchups with Texas A&M (Saturday, Feb. 24), Auburn (Wednesday, Feb. 28) and Kentucky (Saturday, March 9) for Senior Day.
Games against South Carolina (Tuesday, Jan. 30), LSU (Wednesday, Feb. 7) and Vanderbilt (Saturday, Feb. 17) round out Tennessee’s home slate.
Tennessee’s notable road conference games include a trip to Kentucky (Saturday, Feb. 3), at Texas A&M (Saturday, Feb. 10), at Arkansas (Wednesday, Feb. 14) and at Alabama (Saturday, March 2).
The Vols’ SEC road schedule also includes games at Missouri (Tuesday, Feb. 20) and the final true road contest of the season at South Carolina (Wednesday, March 6).
The SEC Tournament will take place in the Music City, as Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena will serve as the site of the event, which runs Wednesday, March 13 through Sunday, March 17.
Over the summer, Tennessee announced its 2023-24 non-conference slate—highlighted by a trip to the Maui Invitational in November, road contests at Wisconsin and North Carolina (ACC/SEC Challenge), a home matchup with Illinois and a neutral-site affair with NC State in San Antonio as part of the Hall of Fame Series.
Coming off last season’s run to the Sweet Sixteen, the Vols have made several strong additions to an experienced returning core consisting of two-time first-team All-SEC selection Santiago Vescovi, Josiah-Jordan James, 2023 second-team All-SEC selection Zakai Zeigler and Jonas Aidoo.
The Vols are 52-19 (.732) over the last two seasons. No SEC team has more wins—or a higher win percentage—during that span.
Limited ticket inventory remains available for the 2023-24 campaign. Fans interested in being a part of the action at Food City Center next season are encouraged to click HERE.
