We keep hearing more and more about Huntingdon’s star player, Chris Donald. That could be due to the fact that he is considered to be the top player in the state of Tennessee and the #49 prospect overall according to Rivals.com. So what does Donald have to say about all this? According to the Jackson Sun, he is quick to escape any conversation regarding his college decision. (Link to external article)
Chris seems to be spending his time hanging out with his family and his three dogs, working out and playing NCAA 2007 on his PS2. Wondering which team Donald plays as? According to the article, he alternates between Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Florida State.
Donald heads to Notre Dame this weekend and hopes to make a decision between the Irish and the Vols sometime in August.
How good is this kid? His talent is thought to be on the same level as former area products Earnest Fields, Al Wilson, Jabari Greer, Patrick Willis, and Daniel Brooks.
This recruitment is key for Tennessee in my opinion. Chris Donald is a player that could really help this years class. While the program is always bigger than one person, you have to think that losing him to Notre Dame or FSU could really put a dagger in what some consider to be an already suspect class for the Vols.
