Bruce Pearl is in Fayetteville Arkansas this weekend for a good reason – there is some serious talent in the third annual Real Deal on the Hill basketball tournament. Pearl was in good company with other big name coaches including Lute Olson, Ben Howland, Rick Pitino, Greg McDermott, Lorenzo Romar, Bill Self and Mike Brey.
Here are some guys that played this weekend that have mentioned Tennessee or that the Vols have interest in. I listed a few comments and stats from the tournament that I’ve run across.
- Philip Jurick: 6-10 250, Center. 4 stars. Started slow against the highly talented Atlanta Celtics squad but found his stride. Has an “animal in him”.
- Romero Osby: 6-8 230, Small Forward. 5 stars. Led the Southeast Elite with 24 points.
- Michael Sanchez: 6-8 220, Power Forward. 3 stars. 19 points and 6 rebounds for the Arkansas Hawks.
- Emmanuel Negedu: 6-6 225, Power Forward. 4 stars. Plays for Indiana Elite.
- Elliot Williams: 6-4 175, Point Guard. 4 stars. Plays for the Memphis M33M Ballers.

Coach Pearl will find the talent for the squad. The vols are going to be a major force next season. I Love the Big Orange. A giant is forming in Knoxville. Go Big Orange. I would like to be at this tournament.
