Roshaun Fellows has been dismissed from the Tennessee Vols Football team as per the Tennessean.
KNOXVILLE-Tennessee senior cornerback Roshaun Fellows, expected to challenge for a starting job next season, was dismissed from the team today. Coach Phillip Fulmer announced that Fellows was dismissed for a violation of team rules. Fellows didn’t play last season after undergoing shoulder surgery in August.
Fellows started off his career at Tennessee by making the 2004 Rivals Freshman All-America team. He was a first team selection while Erik Ainge and Jonathan Heffney made the second team on that list.
I love the classic “violation of team rules”. Inquiring minds want to know, we want details! Seriously though, I do respect coaches for keeping these things private whenever possible.
Whatever happened, it must be fairly serious since I don’t remember Fellows being in trouble before – at least not that we have heard about.

wvlt, the always charming, and always, um, volunteer-ey site is reporting that it was on a drug-related charge.
c’mon, if football players can’t do drugs during the offseason, what’s next? not paying them? let’s get real, it’s the 21st century.
I do believe that the drug charges are right. I live in his home town and if I remember correctly he got arrested for possesion charges and intent to deliver. Hmm should have kept that paper I guess.
Great blog !!!
