A Monday Night Look at the SEC Blogosphere

Auburn2000

The guys at Georgia Sports Blog point out that as of today, it has been 2000 days since Alabama beat Auburn. I wonder how many days it has been since Tennessee or Georgia won a game against the other at home? 1683 days by my count. Anybody want to check my math?

Florida and Kentucky fans are debating whether or not they consider each other a rivalry. It’s the age old tradition versus recent success argument. I guess, like the rest of the country, there’s not much going on in Lexington and Gainesville that’s newsworthy right now.

Meanwhile, Kentucky fans are convinced they didn’t run off Tubby but rather he left because he didn’t see eye to eye with Mitch Barnhart. Think we’ll be having that discussion about Fulmer next year?

Vandy is celebrating a big week in baseball with their first ever SEC Championship in the sport, some weekly individual player awards, and the upcoming match up this week with the puke orange (that would be us). Come on, it’s a 1 seed versus an 8 seed. We have no chance, right? Don’t they know Jeff Lockwood just won his second Freshman of the Week Award? What do you mean you didn’t know that either? And you call yourself a Tennessee fan?

Eirk at DeepSouthSports has posted the wedding pics of Brady Quinn that seem to be everywhere this week. If you haven’t seen them you should check it out.

Journalism is for Rockstars brings up a point we can all agree on… man those South Carolina uniforms are ugly!

As for the Vols, Joe Biddle blogs about Rod Delmonico’s future and if his job is safe for another year.

Also, there is a good post on the volboard about spring scrimmages and the importance of attendance. Is the lack of attendance a gauge of fan enthusiasm? The consensus seems to be no although I’m sure Bama fans would beg to differ.

  1. Brady is a moron and Delmonico should be fired. Did I ever mention Rod never even lettered at Liberty where he played his one year of college baseball? His resume says he lettered but he did not.
