Recruiting Update: All of you recruiting fanatics know that it’s now or never for this year’s class and the exodus of at least four coaches on the Vols staff isn’t helping matters. Tennessee really needs to close strong in the last month of the recruiting season to finish with a decent group. Between now and February 7th, we will be updating our Tennessee football recruiting board to follow along with the latest happenings. Check it out.

Coaching Search: The rumor mill continues to swirl so fervently that the rumors now have rumors. Here is the latest:

• 1.Rob Spence – Appears to be staying at Clemson. May have only interviewed to parlay it into more money in his current position.
• 2.Kippy Brown – Appears  he is going to be the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions although some still insist that he is headed to Tennessee. I think he’s off the list.
• 3. Scott Loeffler – Michigan QB coach that interviewed this weekend in Tampa.
• 4. Frank Cignetti – San Francisco 49’ers QB coach set to interview later this week.
• 5. Randy Sanders – Ok, I’m kidding….. or am I? His name has been tossed around in some circles as a possible position coach.
• 6. Chris Hatcher – The only reason I’m listing this one is that he appears to be the VolNation favorite at this point, right GAVol?
• 7. Trooper Taylor – I’m speechless.
