I can’t remember another player that has bitten with the injury bug quite as often as Montario Hardesty. He’s one of those players that just cannot seem to stay healthy. Just when we think we may get to see his full potential, another injury strikes. The news from the hill today is a hairline fracture in his foot that will cause him to miss the remainder of the spring.
Hardesty has shown flashes of brilliance at times. I think most of us remember his great 44-yard run against California in 2006.
With Daryl Vereen moving to safety earlier this week, that leaves Lennon Creer and freshman Tauren Poole next on the depth chart behind Arian Foster. However, Poole is another guy that has been limited recently in practice with a sore knee.
