Today we take a look at what is going on in the world of Alabama football bloggers. Notably, the following blogs had no mention of Tennessee when I checked them this afternoon: bamapride, capstonereport, tidedruid, tipsytiders. This further supports my theory that many Tide fans believe Alabama has an open date this weekend.

These blogs below (in no particular order) had at least some mention of Tennessee game.

1. bamasportsreport.com

  • Tennessee Volunteers Preview — A fairly level-headed journalistic approach to breaking down the game. My favorite part was regarding Arian Foster:

Foster, with 2,775 career rushing yards, is 303 yards away from passing Travis Henry for the career rushing record at UT. So, naturally, Coach Fulmer limited him to eight carries in a loss to Auburn. It is like Fulmer doesn’t want the kid to break Henry’s record.

2. memphistider.blogspot.com

  • Midweek Blues — This blogger points to Saban as being responsible for starting the Tennessee downfall back in 2001.

Scarbinsky writes about how, on Saturday, Coach Saban can finish what he started some 7 years ago when he beat #2 Tennessee in the SEC championship game: Phillip Fulmer’s demise. The UT program hasn’t been the same since they lost that game and a shot at a 2nd BCS title.

  • Whew! — Jones plus Parker maybe equals Cody, maybe.

While this sounds really strange to say, we faced more individual play makers last week against Ole Miss than we will in Knoxville this weekend.
