So Tennessee officially becomes a Nike school for the 2015 season. This ends an 18-year relationship between the Vols and Adidas.
Sure, fans will be forced to update their wardrobes, undoubtedly an expensive task, but this will be a very popular choice among recruits and young folks. The allure of Nike for that demographic undeniable.
It’s worth noting that Adidas has lost two of its bigger college football accounts within the last month. Notre Dame also announced earlier in January that it was switching from Adidas to Under Armor.
