Quite a start it’s been for Will Maddox and the Diamond Vols.
Maddox was named SEC Player of the Week on Monday as Tennessee improved to 10-0 with a series sweep of Quinnipiac over the weekend.

The junior second baseman went 5-8 at the plate, including a three-run homer, to lead Tennessee to its sweep of the Bobcats and to its first 10-0 start in school history. Maddox is hitting .385 on the season and is leading the Vols in slugging percentage, stolen bases and runs scored.
The Vols outscored Quinnipiace 26-9 over the three-game series and have outscored their opponents 79-29 through their first 10 games.
Tennessee is now ranked No. 21 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll and No. 19 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll.
