Tennessee offered class of 2018 quarterback/athlete Dakereon Joyner from North Charleston, South Carolina on Tuesday.

“Blessed to say I officially Received my 4th offer from The University of Tennessee,” Joyner posted on Twitter.

Joyner is listed at 6-foot-1 and 173 pounds, according to Rivals.com, and has offers from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and now Tennessee.

“You get kids, we coaches call it the ‘it factor.’ Some just have it. I don’t know where it comes from. He’s got about six helpings of it,” Joyner’s coach, Steve Laprad said last August.

“Every morning, he comes in and shakes every coach’s hand. Every morning. He’s usually the first one on the field. That’s the difference. Everybody knows how good he is, but it’s the way he handles it,” Laprad said.

Laprad isn’t a stranger to great talent. Three of his former players were starters in the NFL last season: Carlos Dunlap (Cincinnati), Robert Quinn (St. Louis) and Byron Maxwell (Seattle).

“Dakereon is mature beyond his years,” LaPrad told the Post and Courier. “He’s a great student in the classroom and he’s got a very high football IQ. He studies the game. The difference between Dakereon and those guys is his ability to process information and the way he deals with different situations.”

Joyner has good speed — he runs a 4.5 40-yard dash — and believes he possesses several qualities which are attractive to college coaches.

“It is my style of play [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][that schools like]. I am a very cool player, I set the tone, and I am team player,” Joyner told Scout.com. “I also make guys miss and out-smart linebackers and defensive backs when I have the ball in my hands.”
