Tennessee quarterback commit Jarrett Guarantano is moving up the Scout recruiting rankings.
Guarantano is now rated the No. 3 quarterback in the nation, moving up from the No. 5 spot previously. Even more impressive, he jumped from the No. 116 player overall to No. 58 in the latest rankings.
Scout’s recruiting analyst Brian Dohn said even though he’s currently out for the season with foot injury, Guarantano showed improvement this year — in pocket presence, accuracy, arm strength, decision-making and toughness.
“Tennessee got a very good one with Guarantano,” Dohn said. “He made a huge leap in the rankings. I’ve always been a big fan and nothing he did his senior year discouraged me from that. In fact, I like him even more.”
