Coffin's Corner
The score looks good, the statistics look good, and the result looks good. Then why am I less than thrilled about the play against UAB? I know exactly why – this game was won due to athletes, not any sort of coaching. As everyone knows, I shoot straight – I have no biases. This game…

Guitar Shots to the Head: My Diet Secrets
An open week has opened the flood gates on the Nation. It has been a week of back and forth. Members should drink the orange kool aid… on second thought don’t drink the orange kool aid. It is a familiar two step perpetuated by the minute. If a non stop barrage of fire Fulmer/ keep…

Dougherty's Diatribe
Much has been made of Tennessee’s many breakdowns in all facets of the game in week one against a wildly inferior opponent, who is an eight point underdog Saturday to BYU. And, much should be made. There is no reason for a team better than its opponent at arguably every position on the field to…

This was supposed to be a grand coming out party. Before the UCLA game the Vols were getting all the right coverage. It was to be an evening with the Tennessee Vols. They seemingly had ESPN, a national television audience, and a UCLA offense with the pedigree of some of their best fraternity flag football…

On Wednesday, point guard Aaron Craft became Tennessee’s first commitment in the class of 2010. Craft is a three-star prospect according to Rivals and had offers from Bowling Green, Miami (OH), and Dayton. Michigan was showing some interest but had not yet offered a scholarship.

SEC Week 2 Picks
As I sit down to review last week’s picks and look ahead to Week 2, I must admit that I have just started the Tennessee v. UCLA game on DVR. I have to make sure that what I saw Monday night was true. That a team clearly better than the other at perhaps every position…
