Tyler Smith – Rocky Top League MVP
The Knoxville News Sentinel has named Tyler Smith as the 2008 Rocky Top League MVP (Bernard King Award). I’m not sure what took so long, the league has been over since Wednesday and Smith was the obvious choice.

Chris Lofton and JaJuan Smith update
I stumbled on the summer league roster for the Denver Nuggets this morning and noticed Chris Lofton’s name. Lofton will play with several other former SEC players on the team including Jamont Gordon, Taruean Green and Sonny Weems. Rocky Top League Championship Game is set
The championship game of the 2008 Pilot Rocky Top League appears to be all set and it looks to be a great one. Ray’s ESG and HT Group will square off Wednesday night in a rematch of the June 18 thriller that ended in a 131-128 overtime win for HT Group.

Jarvis Giles commits to Tennessee
The Vols picked up their sixth verbal committment for the class of 2009 and the second this week. Four-star running back Jarvis Giles from Tampa, Florida made his college choice public today announcing that he plans to sign with Tennessee in February.
