Snellville, GA- One fast rising propsect in the state of Georgia is South Gwinnett linebacker Edward Muldrow. Muldrow was greeted with some great news the other day that he had received his 10th offer, and it was from Florida State. FSU jumped in the mix with other schools to offer such as: West Virginia, Illinois, Mississippi, Mississippi state, South Carolina, North Carolina, among others. Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and North Carolina state are other schools that are showing strong interest at this time. With the recent FSU offer though, Edward didn’t hesitate to put a couple of schools on top.

“Right now South Carolina and Florida State are my two early favorites. I’m still open to other schools, but those two are standing out right now. South Carolina, I like how they run the program, they run close to the same defense we do now. I could play spur or wheel for them. Florida State, I was there last weekend for a spring practice. I talked with the linebacker coach and Jimbo there on my visit. The facilities were amazing, weight room, practice field were all real nice. It was a great experience, I was able to watch half of practice, then just watch the linebackers practice.”

Although Edward has a couple of schools on top right now, he mentioned that another school was his top school, but things have changed there for now.

“Tennessee was my top school for a while. I want to hear more from them again with the new coaching staff. My coach talked to the new staff recently, they just got my film and they said and will be up in the spring to check on me.”

Edward has been busy taking a few visits. He was at FSU this past weekend, he also intends to visit South Carolina again for their spring game. And he will also head over to Mississippi state to take in a spring practice.

He has been slightly busier in the early recruiting period because he hopes to make an early decision regarding school.

“I hope to commit somewhere by the end of summer. I’m just looking for the right fit.”

At 6’4″ 195 lbs, he is a rangy linebacker that can cover a lot of ground. Edward broke down his game a little and why schools are recruiting him so hard.

“I stay low for a taller linebacker. I also open up my hips real well in coverage I was told. Almost all the coaches tell me how they love that I never take a play off, I’m always after it. This spring I’m concentrating on getting faster and staying focused. I’m also trying to learn more about the game.”
