Manning's big game wins were as unexpected as Brady's big game losses. Also, if he ever did coach, it absolutely wouldn't be in Knoxville if he's as smart as TN fans think he is. Oh well, one man's GOAT is another man's perma-choking stat queen.
This.
Im still trying to wrap my head around starting 8 Super Bowls and being the league MVP at 40.
Well see what happens over the years with regular season records.
No one is touching Bradys postseason records for a long, long time. If ever
can I get a breathalyzer of here?!?!?How many qbs can go to new teams and/or work with new coaches and immediately turn them into super bowl contenders? Only one: manning. You think little tommy princess Brady could have taken 4 different coaches to 4 Super Bowls? No way. Outside of his cushy little dink and dunk system he is very average. Would have been a career backup if not drafted by New England. Manning was the real deal.
Ive always loved this argument, but its literally comparing apples to oranges. With the exception that they have now both played 17 years, there is very little else that can be compared.
Brady 1 team, 1 HC
Manning 2 teams, 5 HC
Brady average team scoring defense 7
Manning 15
Brady average SB winning defense 3.6
Manning 9.5
Patriots worst scoring defense with Brady was 17
Manning played 9 seasons with worse defenses.
Brady has played 15/17 seasons with a top 10 D
Manning played 7/17 with a top 10 D
Brady is amazing, but Manning clearly did more with less. And I always wonder what the stats would be if the teams/roles were reversed. Would Manning have thrived under a coach like Belicheck? Would Brady have been as successful having such little stability and poorer defense?
I think were pretty lucky to have seen them both play.
And Go Eagles.
