Yeah nice thing about the dip is you can scale it pretty easy...if it's too thick add milk, too runny add cheese.

I bet tossing in 1/4 tsp or two of Dan-Os would also give it a bit more bite. 🤔

All the big boys offer lucrative NIL. My opinion is if Kelly was still HC, they wouldn’t be having *this* level of success on the trail and that Freeman is the difference. But in all likelihood it’s probably more of a combo.

Just from reading about him not long ago, Freeman’s philosophy is he is personally responsible for each player’s recruitment. He’s been known as a dog on the trail and players and recruits love the guy.

So more about loving him than necessarily believing in abilities as head coach? Of course they may not even think that that is different from a coordinator. I’ve been wondering about what was happening there. Seemed like Kelly insinuated you couldn’t win a NC there and wanted to go somewhere where recruiting was easier. May be remembering that wrong.

Yeah the reading I did didn’t mention if kids thought he could be a good HC, just talked about how drawn they were to him and that he’s always been known as someone who gets it done on the trail.

Probably is much easier to recruiting to LSU. Freeman is making it look easy at ND tho. And we’ve all seen how big of a goober Kelly is, even if he is considered a very good coach.

Well, the guys getting paid plus the reasonable folks here seem to disagree with you. You play 2 most of the time. Recruiting 2 per year gets you to 8 on the roster. How many do you think UT can afford to carry within the roster limits?

You want about 16 scholarship OL's on the roster, 4 QB's, 6 RB's, 4 TEs, about 12 WR's, at least 15 DB's, 12 DL's, 4 or 5 rush ends, 3 or so specialists,... so which group do you short so you can add more LB's to compete for two spots?

Aaron Beasley is the worst LB I’ve ever seen play for the University of Tennessee besides Solon Page.

That's pretty ignorant unless you just reached an age where you understand football. They're both better than A LOT OF UT LB's over the last 15 years. Kiffin reached the literal bottom of the barrel. They were playing guys who would never earn PT again because they were just that bad.

What those guys did last year is NOT what UT needs out of the position against high level competition. But you have to be engaging in hyperbole or pure old ignorance to say they're the "worst".

Now Hopefully Mohan and Garland improve or maybe Jourdan Thomas can get up to about 220-225 by next season and play as a 3rd LB in 4-3 defensive sets.

How many plays per game do you think UT played with more than 2 LB's in 2021?

In a 4-3 defense you want 5 guys you can rotate and not have to worry about a significant drop off and losing Banks and Mitchell after this season is going to leave us extremely thin going into 2023 with only Perry, Herring, Garland, Mohan, and 2 freshman that will eventually be studs, but likely won’t be their freshman year

I expect Beasley to be a lot better this year. He was a high school safety and running back who started his career here as a safety. He had zero starting experience and limited time on special teams when he missed all team activities for months because of an exaggerated (and mostly fabricated) lie told on him. You would have to think that not only being behind from a football standpoint, there were a lot of things mentally and emotionally that he was still coping with last season as a result. We get to enjoy games, sometimes neglecting the fact that these are still young adults (kids) that we scrutinize and criticize. Like I said....I expect Beasley to be A LOT better this season and Mitchell to be a huge contributor. I expect Banks to be one of the best in the league this season. Page doesn't have to be spectacular. He just has to be consistent, sound fundamentally, and not hurt the team as a reliable back up.
