Why did the cops ask Vol fan to sit down last night?

The stadium staff actually does have primary authority over the police. I have done this for 11 years. We have primary authority until it is turned over to the police, and then we can opt to step out of the way. However, the officers are paid by the university to be there to assist stadium...

Why did the cops ask Vol fan to sit down last night?

I am an usher in the stadium. Whether it is liked or not, the person has a right to stand as long as he is not standing on the seat. The cop had no jurisdiction to make him sit, and the usher of that section should have told the officer to leave him alone. If the cop continued the issue, a...

They are always looking for new ushers. I have been doing it for 5 years. I would suggest asking an usher or gatekeeper at the next game to get you in touch with a supervisor. Or you can contact the athletic department and inquire.

For a man that everyone claims loves his university...

I am a Neyland Stadium Usher. I am an Alum. I am not old. It is a privilege to get to watch the games. However, here are a few things you may not know: 1. We are NOT losing pay due to attendance 2. For those who do our job the right way, we have to be IN THE STADIUM 2 1/2 before the game...
