Agree. There a lot of interesting discussions to be had over the next few years. I've seen some things on Twitter about football folks already preparing to break away. There will be a lot of interesting routes that can take, as well as what happens to all of the other sports under the NCAA...
Agree. Tons of potential on the team, but we'll need a dog like DK or a couple of dogs like Grant/Admiral to carry the offense when things get tough. ZZ is a great player, but there are nights when his size limits what he can do overall. Hoping Lanier and one of the others can be double digit...
Agree - next big change will be as ESPN kills cable networks. Each power conference will partner up with a streamer, and we'll land closer to the future of the college landscape. The bigger question will be is it just football or do other sports follow? If just football, what does that landscape...
Agree, we're at an ideal spot assuming we land all the names. I think Gainey will run backup PG.
ZZ - Gainey
Lanier - Gainey - Carr
Mashack - Carr
Igor - Dubar
Okpara - JP
Lanier has solid tape but it didn't wow me like DK's did. When I saw him last year, I was in shock. Couldn't believe we were able to land him.
I wasn't blown away by Lanier and his speed on tape. However, I thought he looks like a really smart player who will fit right in our motion system...
Likely for both. Cade will likely be faded out by conference w/o an injury somewhere.
We could take a 2 or 3 still, but for the culture of the team, I still think Mashack needs to start somewhere (assuming he's playing well enough to earn it). He's put his time and work in.
I agree. I'm still a believer that Aidoo will pop somewhere in a more pro system.
We all loved Tobe. Just never quite got to show it for full-games, which is sad, as he had the makings of a great Barnes player. Tough, rebounded, physical, etc.
Assuming Cade doesn't come - We need a guy like Anderson. Somebody that is willing to come in with the expectation of little to no minutes in year one. We're pretty much at a 8-9 man rotation already.
ZZ Gainey (I'm just assuming he plays here mostly as Boswell likely won't get much run)...
Tyson, Lanier, and Milicic would be a nice haul. Some of the analytical numbers on Lanier are very nice.
Add in Awaka again and this team is just fine.
Agree. I think Carr Estrella and Phillips all shown real promise last year.
My biggest concern is losing the culture on the team. As we lose more tenured folks, it’ll be easier to let that slip. Then, I have concern.
