I’m looking forward to the Crieghton matchup because they seem to be a finesse type team that doesn’t play great defense.
We have played pretty good vs these type teams this year (Bama, KY, Fla). We struggle more vs teams that play better defense. I think we would matchup good vs Gonzaga in...
It’s always been Barnes issue. Can’t get the team fired up for games when we are the favorites. We play great when we are the underdog or the team has a chip on their shoulder for some reason.
One thing I haven't seen mentioned in the Pearl BBQ fiasco ...
The UT Administration knew the NCAA had the picture from Pearl's BBQ that proved he violated an NCAA rule. The UT administration chose NOT to let Pearl know about the picture before Pearl and his assistant coaches were interviewed...
I just posted about Ellis a couple posts above. Don't forget there was no 3pt line in NCAA when Ellis played. He didn't have to shoot far away from the basket. He was too good around the paint. He then showed his long range skills in the NBA when they later added the 3pt line.
I always thought Dale Ellis was 2nd best UT men's BB player behind King. He was pretty much automatic if he ever got his hands on the ball in the paint. Then when he went to the NBA he became one of the best 3pt shooters in the NBA when they added the 3pt line.
If the injunction is not granted on the 13th the irreparable damage could be to the NCAA.
If we go a year while the case is being tried and later the case is settled in TN/VA favor. Since the players won’t be able to negotiate NIL prior to enrolling, then players could later sue the NCAA for...
Kinda surprised no more states have joined the TN/VA vs NCAA lawsuit yet. Guessing they are waiting on the Feb 13th ruling. If it goes TN way, the other states will pile in and try to take credit for defending the student athletes.
I have seen several people referencing that the Nico flight was from Sprye and Sprye is not UT. The NCAA is saying Sprye IS a UT booster. That's why they are saying a UT Booster paid for the private jet to bring a recruit to knoxville.
The only way to change the NCAA mind on this is to...
Even Finebaum said the NCAA leaked the article to the NYT to try to build support for their case. So all the NYT article came directly from the NCAA. Do you trust the NCAA?
How many lawyers you think would be in line to sue the NCAA if they try to punish any student athlete over NIL. The NCAA knows better than to try and punish the player. The may try to punish a coach or booster.. but that would probably end up in court also.
