Yes. He got a lot of tackles, because he let his receivers catch a lot of passes. Most pass break ups because he had the most chances too. It's not a good sign.
No, he was consistently getting outstretched to the sideline. When a CB has the most tackles, that's not a good sign. It means he's getting attacked the most.
Can someone explain why there were series of games leading up to this championships series, but now it's just one loss against UVA and we move on to an elimination?
Whoever says the offense isn't outdated, when against Oregon State did it generate easy/good shots? You know, what an offense is supposed to do every now and then.
In almost every sport that has some sort of zone defense, it always takes more work and you need to have a high iq in that specific sport to pull it off.
I also prefaced by saying i'm probably wrong. I was just trying to get a conversation going about what other people have seen from JJJ.
Have a good night!
I know I'm probably wrong, but I feel like RIck Barnes has like very little interest in seeing a freshman take over the team. I think he wants it to be a team thing, and for his upperclassmen to impress. Can't we just see what would happen if JJJ shot like 15 shots/game. I get coaching guys up...
I mean, our 2 feature backs averaged 5.3 and 4.6 yards a carry. I think we're having a hard time finding a proper run balance, but I wouldn't necessarily say we aren't very good.
I really still like sticking with Maurer, i think he has more potential to lead us when he's on. Seemed like today just wasn't his day, and i'm so thankful we had JG.
I will say, we probably should have given a 3-4 defensive coordinator more than one year to install a defense thats built more on mental strengths than straight up physical ones. But even if not, Dooley was really just a decent DC from having a solid team.
EDIT: For clarification, i'm talking...
