Lets's look at the O-Line
LT RS Soph Richmond
LG SR Roberson
C SR Thomas
RG JR Jack Jones
RT JR Chance Hall
(Veteran battled tested line)

QB JR Dormady
if he's hurt Guarantano and Jones are more dangerous with the running element. No drop off.

RB SR Hurd
If not John Kelly and Joe Young are talented
Not to mention Possibly having TY Chandler

WR JR Preston Williams
WR JR Jennings
WR SR Malone
WR RS SR Josh Smith

WR FR Tee Higgins
(Vincent Perry and Cory Henderson will also be in the mix)

(Once again, battle tested talent)

TE SR Wolf.... This area may be some concern. Creamer needs to show something. Brooks will have had a year to heal.

DE JR Kyle Phillips
DT JR Khalil McKienzie
DT JR Shy Tuttle
DT SR Vickers/ Johnson
DE SR Mixon or So Taylor, RS SO Butcher

(once again veteran battle tested talent)

OLB JR Austin Smith
MLB JR Darrin Kirkland

OLB RS So Sapp

(Once again talented experience) And what we don't have in experience we will have in talent and age at LB
SR McDowell
RS JR Elliot Berry
RS JR Dillon Bates

FS SR Todd Kelly JR
SS SR Evan Berry or JR Griffin
NB RS JR Gualden or SO Osborne
CB SR Martin
CB SR Moseley or SO Callaway, SO Osborne, SR Henderson

Not mention JR Micah Abernathy or SO Warrior.

One freshman will see the field that year...
So DESPITE the invalidated notion that 2016 is Championship or bust.
The roster says different
Also the 2017 recruiting class could be the best of in 20 years!

So...We are set for a run, imo for the next 5 years. Competing for championships for the next 5 years.

Hurd will be gone. QB play in 2017 will dictate the entire year

Callaway is a Wr not DB FYI

Trust me he will be a CB

Think Brent Vinson without the attitude.

He has very good feet and hips for a guy that's 6'1". They say he's 6'2 which means he's probably closer to 6'1 or even 6'0"

QB play will be much improved that year. Hiring Sheridan was huge imo.

2017 could be a special special year.

2016 i will also enjoy. I expect big things in 2016

That's the same in EVERY year. And we have done very well preparing for that.

I don't think Hurd leaves.

Also watch for Malone to have a big year with a QB that will throw more and with more accuracy. Same for Williams, Higgins could be a monster. Jennings might move to defense, but either way he starts at WR.

Josh Smith will be vital for the new QB

How does it make sense to play JJ at 2nd string WR and Callaway at corner. JJ could be 1st team all SEC at safety and we have Osbourne, Abernathy, Martin, Henderson, Miller, Buchanon, Mosely etc at corner. Then Callaway can fill Jennings void at reciever.

Jennings still might move to safety. Right now he is good young WR. Right now.

Osborne is going to be Nickel mostly.

Callaway is a prototype CB and I believe he has more upside than those other very talented prospects. Abernathy is a utility player. Moseley needs to wake up an play with more confidence in the passing game.
Miller.
Henderson is interesting. We'll see, but Callaway to CB is no-brainer.

That's why we are still recruting Richards out of Florida.

Did I miss something? We "hired" Sheridan? I know GA or quality control but he is not an official coach right?

Let's just focus on 2016...

And I am.
This thread was mainly because some people believe 2016 is the magical year we have ONE shot at greatness, when that simply isn't true.
We are geared for a championship runs for the next 5 season imo. 2016 being the first. 2015 really should have been... but it's okay.

Mostly due to our amazing recruiting at the QB spot.

"Two years from now, Tennessee will be back!"

Posted every year since 2007.

Beat Alabama and Florida and then I'll buy any future hype.

I am willing to bet my 401K that hurd leaves after this season

I wouldn't be a shocker.

He should be the All-Time leading rusher after next year.

So he could leave. Short life expectancy for RB's in the NFL.
Would love to see him get drafted by the Panthers

News flash, Don
We're already back.

We just beat the # 12 ranked team in the country by almost 40 points to end the season.

Stay in the dark days if you want to...

Vinson was beautiful at corner. I don't pretend to know where he went wrong. But he was the prototype cornerback body type imo. I was thinking he'd develop into a star.

People don't realize what kind of upbringing some of these kids come from.
He wasn't right in the head.

He should have been a 1st round pick along with Eric Berry.

Imagine Vinson at CB
Berry and Janzen Jackson at Safety

We actually could have had
Vinson
Morely
Berry
Jackson all in the same secondary

what could have been...

We better enjoy watching Hurd in 2016. He will be playing on Sundays in 2017. Our schedule is set up better to win in 2016 than 2017.

I think i've posted this in at least 3 threads over the last few weeks. People are too worried about 2017 and beyond to enjoy how special 2016 could be.

No no no.

In fact a lot of people have been focusing as 2016 being THE year. Some contesting that it is the ONLY shot we have of winning a Championship until Florida get's up to strength (which they will)

See the numerous threads about in this forum.

This whole thread was/is to show that NOW moving forward...every year is a potential championship season. Not just 2016, but 2017 and probably 2018 and 2019...

2016 should be very special.

Hurd will be gone and our QB will be a collegiate rookie--so your point is already shaky.
