2024 TRANSFER TRACKER

We could really use another post player.
We could but who is the question. Not many great post players left. Barker is there not looking at us at least not yet. Two or three Jucos that might be some help. I haven't looked that close at the mid majors to see what type of post players are in the portal.

Tennessee does not need to look at Barker at all.

Updates!!

Jewel has never been this vocal. She’s stepping into a leader role and she’s ready to kick butt. I’m loving her posts. You can tell she’s excited, I think she and Coach Kim have hit it off on a competitiveness level.
this is so true. i gotta be honest i thought jewel was a quiet leader but she is saying to all "I AM the LEADER of the LVs" I can't help but think CKC has created this change. So much confidence. So much!

Well we took two players averaging 6 and 7 last season, but that doesn't mean they are bad players.

You must be talking about rebounds?
If so that’s about the same amount of rebounds Barker averaged in two seasons.

Alyssa Latham averaged 8.6 ppg playing with one of the leading scorers in WBB as a freshman. In two seasons, Barker has averaged just over 12 ppg.
Sounds about the same amount of production to me.

I think Jewel knows there's another commitment coming. I gotta admit, with all of the drama a month ago with Harper leaving, I never imagined the LVs would be snagging all of these super tough and athletic players. The new coach ain't messing around. It is clear she has a vision that is taking hold with the current team and recruits. There is such an authentic confidence about CKC. I think it's rubbing off.

Coach Kim is not messing around having girls play outta position. She’s going and getting what she needs to be successful. There is plenty to go around, I point out SC again, they are super deep and still manage to get most everyone time.

We really only had 3 players we could count on to maybe go off night in and night out. We have doubled that count already.
Let athletes be athletes

I have no problems with the two players we have taken like them both. At the same time any team that would not take Barker who is going into the best seasons of her career if she wanted to come would be a little insane, She is a Hoopgurlz top ten ranked player who played on what was mostly a bad team. Sometimes you suffer some when that happens. Even so 12 ppg is very good total for a sophomore. That could go to 18 or more as a junior. So I will continue to allude to her as an excellent player to get. Because whomever gets her will be a lot better team than they are now.
