It might have been a dream. I haven't seen anything about it, guess I missed it if it was real life.
@Vol_Football: Due to a scoring change, @dbarnett25 has been credited w/ 3 sacks at Ole Miss, a new #Vols freshman record for sacks http://t.co/OQtRjiPuC4
"DEFENSIVE END DEWAYNE HENDRIX: Fellow freshman Derek Barnett earns all the playing he gets, as well as all the accolades hes going to get, but most people in the program at least those weve asked still consider the 6-foot-4, 275-pound Hendrix to be the more talented of the two. Hendrix is big, fast and strong, and hes physically capable of being an outstanding player." 24/7 sports

I could see that from a physical upside standpoint. It's just that Derek Barnett literally has his motor running wide open on every play. Getting a sack or TFL is statworthy and valuable. But, what really amazes me about watching him is how he is #1 in on so many plays that a lot of players would not & #2 how stays disciplined in his lane / assignment and does not seem to give up huge plays by making mistakes.
If I knew nothing and watched Barnett during our games this year, I would guess him to be a Sr or Jr just based on the quality of his play. What a gem our staff landed in this guy. AA is likely in the next 2 seasons.
