I'm not saying that lol. All I'm saying is "way to go out on a limb there" pretty much.

I might have read something where the coaches said that Hendrix has more Pontenial then even Barnett, a higher ceiling if you will. Or that might of been in a dream.

It might have been a dream. I haven't seen anything about it, guess I missed it if it was real life.

"DEFENSIVE END DEWAYNE HENDRIX: Fellow freshman Derek Barnett earns all the playing he gets, as well as all the accolades he’s going to get, but most people in the program — at least those we’ve asked — still consider the 6-foot-4, 275-pound Hendrix to be the more talented of the two. Hendrix is big, fast and strong, and he’s physically capable of being an outstanding player." 24/7 sports

@Vol_Football: Due to a scoring change, @dbarnett25 has been credited w/ 3 sacks at Ole Miss, a new #Vols freshman record for sacks http://t.co/OQtRjiPuC4

If true, that's scary to think about. Barnett, Hendrix, McKenzie, and Tuttle. Nasty

I could see that from a physical upside standpoint. It's just that Derek Barnett literally has his motor running wide open on every play. Getting a sack or TFL is statworthy and valuable. But, what really amazes me about watching him is how he is #1 in on so many plays that a lot of players would not & #2 how stays disciplined in his lane / assignment and does not seem to give up huge plays by making mistakes.

If I knew nothing and watched Barnett during our games this year, I would guess him to be a Sr or Jr just based on the quality of his play. What a gem our staff landed in this guy. AA is likely in the next 2 seasons.

Don't forget about Butcher on passing downs...kid will be a sack specialist...Vereen as well. I also think Ford could be great..seems like a smart, hard working kid...and Picou too!

His motor and the mental side of the game. It's like he's been playing in college for years. That's the only thing keeping Hendrix's from more playing time is learning the mental side. Our front 4 will be deep next year and we have a chance to actually let freshmen be freshmen and take their time to play. Except Shy and Kahlil probably.

Thanks. Like I said, must have missed it. It's still a wait and see though, so I'll hold judgement until I see the product on the field.

I know Barnett was a good 4-star but obvious if you start as true freshman and see freshman sack record that you are a 5-star.

Hendrix might be pretty good

I MIGHT be pretty good to but I think I'd come in at a 10 second forty these days. LOL! Barnett is takin care of business. Who's Hendrix? If he's all that get your *** out there and show us. And some of you need to shelve the "recruiting trophy". Nobody cares. Preeeez.
