Getting into Neyland....

That's why the university always says, we suggest you arrive early.

Next time try going in one of the other "lesser known" gates. I walked right in with literally no one in front of me about 45 minutes before kickoff.

The worst part about being in the line at gate 21 was holding hours and hours of alcohol in my bladder. I don't think I have felt that much pain ever while holding pee. I peed for honestly 3 minutes when I got to the troughs. So... that was my experience :)

Went in gate 10 for FL game and it was pretty bad. Maybe they need some lanes or something. Utah st. game wasn't bad but we went in 1 hr early .

I mean, I can't go into specifics, but there were almost 50% more officers at the gates than in previous weeks.

There was a lot more at 10, when I went through about 50 minutes before kickoff. Took about 10 minutes.

I have gone through Gate 21 for the past five years. I can't remember a time where I've ever had to wait in line for more than twenty minutes. On average I would say it's somewhere around ten minutes. Yesterday we got there around 6:30 or a little before that and didn't get through the gates until after kickoff. I assumed there was some sort of threat or they were worried about Kiffin, but didn't really notice any additional security or extra bag checking. It was clear that everyone in line was more than livid about having to wait that long.

I waited about 30 mins going in student gate. Line was crazy, and I even honestly cut a ton of people by going around the side of the mob and squeezing in.

I went in well over an hour early and still waited 25 min in line. Gate 21 was a mess with only 1 cop

Gate 21, escorting my 77 year old mother into the game as I have in the past. First time they ever kicked us out of the express for her little fanny pack. Go back into the bag check lines and when I finally get to the check the State Trooper does everything but give me a rectal exam. That extra set of keys I was carrying from driving my mother's car to the game were apparently a huge threat to the well being of the 102k plus in attendance and had to be pulled out and displayed for inspection. I understand that security is necessary but if you are going to go to this level, lets just invest in metal detectors and run it like a courthouse entrance.

I'm on campus setting up the tailgate by 7:00 AM for every game...... I understand the get there early thing but I love taking my kids and it' hard w/ two 8 year olds and a 3 year old to go in too soon.

Just feel there should be an easier/quicker/more efficient way to get in other than the experience I had at Utah State, FL/ and Bama.

We've never waited more than 5 minutes to get into our gate, in fact it's hardly ever even that long. That's going at different times as well including just before kickoff. They don't even search the males.

It would honestly be quicker if the females didn't insist on bringing some kind of bag with them. All the ladies need is their phone, some cash, and maybe a credit card and all that fits into one pocket.

I walked into Gate 17 and didnt even show my ticket.....just walked right in. nobody said $hit. wild.

For shame! You just lowered the stadium attendance by doing that.

Maybe someone should check the records of how the extra staff were spread around? :dunno:

We seem to have a variety of reports that Gate 21 was unusual. Maybe they had found an idiot and pulled him out of line...

Anyway, good to hear that safety was being maintained. :hi:

We arrived at our gate at 6:55 and didn't walk through the door until 7:30...... People cutting line, people ready to fight and overall a general mess.

Had the same sort of delay for Utah State....

There has to be a more effective way to handle this.

Sue the world!!!!!

geesh...I suppose everything else in your life perfect! SMH!!

Same for me at Gate 11, minus Woodford plus Jack. Gate 21 always seems bad now. I usually don't use it even if I have tickets in the North endzone. I'm assuming that's where the OP went in.
